ارتفعت حالات الإصابة بالكوليرا إلى أرقام كبيرة بولاية الخرطوم بسبب استخدام المياه الملوثة نتيجة انقطاع التيار الكهربائي وشح المياه النظيفة حيث تم عزل 183 حالة فيما تزايد تسجيل الحالات في كل من مستشفى بشائر والمستشفى التركي ومستشفى البان جديد.
تحذر شبكة أطباء السودان من انتشار عدوى الكوليرا بولاية الخرطوم بسبب تزايد الحالات المسجلة في في الفترة من 15 مايو وحتى اليوم مما يستدعي تدخل عاجل من السلطات الصحية بجانب نشر التوعية بمخاطر المرض والتحذير من استخدام المياه غير المكلورة أو التي تجلب من المناطق المكشوفة وأطراف النيل.
تطالب الشبكة المنظمات الأممية والإقليمية العاملة في مجال بتوفير المعينات الطبية وتوفير مواد الكلورة للمواطنين بالخرطوم لوقف ارتفاع حالات الإصابة بعدوى الكوليرا.
Sudan Doctors Network: Surge in Cholera Infections in Khartoum and Isolation of 183 Cases at Al-Naw Hospital in Omdurman
Cholera cases have risen significantly in Khartoum State due to the use of contaminated water resulting from power outages and shortages of clean water. A total of 183 cases have been isolated, with increasing numbers reported at Bashayer Hospital, the Turkish Hospital, and Al-Ban Jadeed Hospital.
The Sudan Doctors Network warns of the spread of cholera infections in Khartoum State, as recorded cases have surged between May 15 and today. This demands urgent intervention from health authorities, alongside public awareness campaigns about the dangers of the disease. The network cautions against using non-chlorinated water or water sourced from exposed areas and the Nile’s margins.
The network calls on United Nations and regional organizations operating in the field to provide medical supplies and chlorination materials to residents of Khartoum to curb the rise in cholera infections.
