تعرض الكوادر الطبية المناوبين في قسم الجراحة العامة وقسم الإصابات بمستشفى دنقلا التخصصي، للضرب والتهديد بالقتل لكل من الطبيب العمومي المنذر عمرو، وأخصائي الجراحة العامة منذر عادل، واعتداءات لفظية طالت بقية الكادر المناوبة في تعدي صريح لكل الأعراف والقوانين التي تحمي الكوادر الطبية أثناء تقديم مهامهم بالمستشفى من قبل مرافقي المصابين بمستشفى دنقلا التخصصي.
إننا في شبكة أطباء السودان ندين بأشد العبارات هذه الاعتداءات المتكررة، التي لم تكن الأولى، حيث سُجل خلال الشهرين الماضيين أكثر من (١١) حالة اعتداء على الكوادر الطبية في (٥) أقسام مختلفه بمستشفى دنقلا التخصصي، ما يعكس وضعاً خطيراً يهدد أمن وسلامة العاملين في الحقل الطبي، ويقوّض استقرار الخدمة الصحية المقدمة للمواطنين.
نتضامن مع إضراب الأطباء بالمستشفى كرد فعل طبيعي وذلك من أجل توفير الحماية لهم ونؤكد أن تكرار هذه الاعتداءات في ظل غياب إجراءات الحماية الفاعلة، هو مؤشر مقلق على تفاقم الأزمة، ونحمّل الجهات ذات الصلة المسؤولية الكاملة عن حماية الكوادر الصحية. كما نُحمّل إدارة المستشفى والسلطات الأمنية والإدارية كامل المسؤولية عن سلامة أطبائنا وزملائنا.
تطالب الشبكة بالسلطات توفير الحماية الفورية والفعالة للكوادر الطبية العاملة داخل المستشفى وخارجه، وفتح تحقيق عاجل وشفاف عن الاعتداءات الأخيرة، ومحاسبة المتورطين دون استثناء وتفعيل الإجراءات القانونية ضد كل من تسوّل له نفسه التعدي على الكادر الطبي، بجانب تحسين بيئة العمل وتأمينها عبر آليات واضحة وملزمة.
Sudan Doctors Network: We Condemn the Assault on Medical Staff at Dongola Specialized Hospital and Stand in Solidarity with the Strikers Until Justice Is Achieved
The on-call medical staff in the General Surgery and Emergency Departments at Dongola Specialized Hospital were subjected to physical assault and death threats. Those attacked included General Practitioner Munzir Amro and General Surgery Specialist Munzir Adel. Other staff members on duty faced verbal abuse in a blatant violation of all norms and laws that protect medical personnel while performing their duties. These assaults were carried out by attendants of patients at Dongola Specialized Hospital.
We at the Sudan Doctors Network strongly condemn these repeated attacks, which are not the first of their kind. In fact, more than 11 cases of assault against medical staff have been recorded in five different departments of Dongola Specialized Hospital over the past two months. This reflects a dangerous situation that threatens the safety and security of healthcare workers and undermines the stability of medical services provided to citizens.
We stand in full solidarity with the strike action taken by the doctors at the hospital as a natural response aimed at demanding better protection. We stress that the recurrence of such assaults in the absence of effective protective measures is a worrying indicator of a worsening crisis. We hold the relevant authorities fully responsible for ensuring the safety of healthcare workers, including the hospital administration, and the security and administrative authorities.
The Network calls on the authorities to provide immediate and effective protection for all medical staff working inside and outside the hospital. We also demand an urgent and transparent investigation into the recent assaults, holding all those involved accountable without exception, and enforcing legal action against anyone who dares to assault medical personnel. In addition, we urge for improvements to the working environment and its security through clear and binding mechanisms.
