قتل 13 شخصا بينهم 3 أطفال وجرح 21 آخرين جراء القصف المدفعي المتعمد للدعم السريع على الفاشر صباح اليوم الجمعة بعد أكثر من أسبوعين من الهدوء النسبي الذي شهدته مدينة الفاشر بولاية شمال دارفور.
تدين شبكة أطباء السودان عمليات القصف المدفعي المتعمد على مدينة الفاشر والأسواق ومواقع تجمعات المدنيين صباح اليوم وتؤكد بأن عمليات القصف وإحكام الحصار على المدينة يستهدف بصورة مباشر الآلاف من الأطفال والنساء وكبار السن في تحدي واضح لكل القرارات الدولية الداعية لوقف التصعيد وفك الحصار.
تذكر الشبكة قيادات الدعم السريع بقرارات الأمم المتحدة الداعية لفتح مسارات إنسانية وفك الحصار عن آلاف المدنين والنساء والأطفال بمدينة الفاشر كما تطالب الشبكة الجيش والدعم السريع بتنفيذ مقترح الهدنة الإنسانية من قبل الأمم المتحدة لمدة أسبوع على أرض الواقع وتؤكد الشبكة بأن الفترة غير كافية نسبة للوضع الإنساني السيء وحوجة أهل الفاشر لإدخال المساعدات والغذاء والدواء.
Sudan Doctors Network: 13 Killed, Including 3 Children, and 21 Injured in Rapid Support Forces’ Deliberate Artillery Shelling on El Fasher Today
Thirteen people, including three children, were killed, and 21 others were wounded due to deliberate artillery shelling by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on El Fasher this Friday morning. This comes after more than two weeks of relative calm in the city of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State.
The Sudan Doctors Network condemns the deliberate artillery shelling on El Fasher city, its markets, and civilian gathering sites this morning. It confirms that the shelling and the tight siege on the city directly target thousands of children, women, and the elderly, in a clear defiance of all international calls for de-escalation and lifting the siege.
The Network reminds the RSF leadership of the United Nations resolutions calling for the opening of humanitarian corridors and lifting the siege on thousands of civilians, women, and children in El Fasher. It also calls on both the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces to implement the UN-proposed humanitarian truce for one week on the ground.
The Network emphasizes that the proposed truce period is insufficient given the dire humanitarian situation and the urgent need of El Fasher’s residents for food, medical supplies, and humanitarian aid.
