سجل فريق الشبكة بولاية شمال كردفان 43 حالة إصابة مؤكدة بوباء الكوليرا، بين النازحين المهجرين من قبل الدعم السريع بمناطق أم سيالة وذلك في ظل أوضاع إنسانية وصحية بالغة الصعوبة.
تؤكد الشبكة أن النقص الحاد في الإمدادات الطبية والمحاليل الوريدية، إلى جانب غياب خدمات الصرف الصحي والمياه الآمنة، سيرفع من تفشي الوباء على نطاق أوسع.
تدعو الشبكة المنظمات المحلية والمجتمع الدولي والوكالات الإنسانية إلى التدخل العاجل لتوفير الأدوية والمحاليل وأدوات التعقيم، إلى جانب تنفيذ حملات شاملة للتوعية الصحية والسيطرة على مصادر العدوى، بما يضمن احتواء المرض وحماية أرواح المهجرين من قبل الدعم السريع بولاية شمال كردفان.
Sudan Doctors Network: 43 Cases of Cholera Recorded Among Forcibly Displaced at Al-Hamra Hospital
A team from the Sudan Doctors Network in North Kordofan State has recorded 43 confirmed cases of cholera among displaced persons who were forcibly displaced by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) from the Um Sayala areas. This comes amid extremely dire humanitarian and health conditions.
The Network warns that the severe shortage of medical supplies and intravenous fluids, along with the lack of sanitation services and access to safe water, is likely to lead to a wider outbreak of the disease.
The Network is calling on local organizations, the international community, and humanitarian agencies to urgently intervene by providing medicines, IV fluids, and sterilization tools. It also urges the implementation of comprehensive health awareness campaigns and infection control measures to contain the disease and protect the lives of those displaced by the RSF in North Kordofan State.
